Just got this beauty:

also 1:48 GAsPatch turnbucles (2 sets), WnW replacement sprue for my ROland's undercarriage and Aoshima's Lamborghini Aventador with tons of extras... yes I knwo it is not exactly a WWI plane, but it is inspired by a 5th generation jet fighters :)

Just bought this from Hannants. They will deliver it direct to the shop in Hendon and with a 10% reduction.

A sorry and expensive tale.................

An impressive and very good camera - not outrageously expensive but did a job well.

Here it is now :-






Woah is me! ...................... Memory card broke and left its remains inside, couldn't persuade it out so went in after it ............... result ... DEATH!
Apparently I was doing fine right up until I killed something with a static discharge - sniff. All the settings and stuff work - it's just blind.
Anyhoo ..... was most miffed with myself for being so clumsy, and the fact that the card had to break in the camera body didn't it!!! - Grrr.

Here then is it's replacement .... I can't believe how things have moved on in five years - five times the spec', twice the zoom (X30-optical), half the size, and a hundred quid less .............. and it came with a really natty retro leather case (I was impressed anyway).






Upshot of this rather apparently self indulgent post? - is the fact that hopefully as soon as I get it figured out a bit more I should be able to resume with a few updates on the Pup.

Over the last week or so,

A Revell Fokker DVII in 1/48, Academy Nieuport 17 in 1/32, just sat down today and fondled the plastic, holy hell, the size difference to 1/72 is impressive, not as many tiny, fiddly bits.  Even the Revell kit looks a whole lot better than the 1/72 counterparts!  Damn I may end up with a stash change soon!

This little beauty came in the mail yesterday.


This was one of Copper States earliest efforts and one of the few I didn't already have when Eric sold the business.  Ilya Sobolev, one of the new owners, took the old masters and had them reworked and I have to say, I'm really impressed.  I'll just post a few pics to give you all a taste.






As a bonus, Ilya threw in this little gem.  What a guy.
