These were delivered yesterday.  The Snipe is one kit I've been looking forward to.  However, there's the J.1 and SPAD XIII to finish (the latter when/if some applicable decals are released- please WNW release a kit with the early wings!) and either the Tripe or N.28 in front of the queue.



The RE.8 is bait.  I love this aircraft, but won't tackle it until I feel confident about rigging.  So I had better get some practice in!

Dean, that's a very good buy, mate.  Which one's likely to get started first?

Nice haul Dal. I'm betting that the double bay rigging on the Snipe will be all you'll need to get you up to speed for the Harry Tate.

Boy, am I on the band wagon!  This just came today.  I'm itchin' to get started on it.  I've checked out the parts and have done a little test fitting.  This is a fantastic kit.

I've been waiting patiently to see you make a foray into 1/32 scale with a WnW kit. Now I'll pin you down by asking for a firm start date!   ;D

Just got my Doug Craner Axial prop. Its a thing of beauty and a joy to behold....so like a mouse in a maze I turn down the Dr1 hallway....

Great news on the prop Steve. Doug is working on a Jaray prop for my 1/32 Lloyd, and I'm really looking forward to it. I've heard nothing but superlatives about these props.

Doug made an Eclair prop for my upcoming Caudron scratch build, absolutely beautiful craftmanship, the prop will be the best part of the model....

Arrived today fron New Zealand - WNW Snipe Early, Hannover Cl.II and Fokker D.VII (Alb).

Ordered February 4th, shipped February 12th and arrived in UK February 14th. Released from Customs yesterday. So just over 2 weeks to get to me. Usual ransom for Duty and Handling Fee but not too bad at £34 for all three. Have paid £20 on one in the past.

Now to open the boxes!!

After forum member gcn presented the results of his fantastic WnW DH2, there was a discussion on something he called "knit in elastic" that he used for rigging. I decided to go to my local purveyor of knitting supplies, also known as my mother-in-law, and picked up some of this for a song  ;)



The brand name might help our North American members source a supply. Notice it says 200m for $3.49! Looking forward to giving it a try.

Your post got me thinking about this thread too, so I've posted a question to see if it can generate a discussion as to how to best employ it. I can also see how it could be useful for the DH2 and Fee.
