The books were for a bargain price and the kit was half retail price, so I couldn't say no.  ;D

Squiffy,
Nice catch on the books; I found a deal on the Hunting with Richthofen Book a year or so back, it's a good one. I'd be very interested in your comments on Brief Glory, looks like another I'll need to pursue!
Cheers,
Lance

It is nice to see, that you become so many rings.
But I am  sad that there are nothing for 1/48 scale.

On Saturday I had a delivery of Revell's 1/72 Fokker D.VII (love that kit, it's fun and cheap) and 1/48 Dr.I. And yesterday came home to find a large box containing the Encore Models 1/72 Pfalz D.III "Blue Max" so I can use the decals on my existing WIP. Gorgeous! And, to top it off, I have all next week off work, so expect to see some progress.

Sounds like a good haul! I think though that you meant the 1/32nd Encore Pfalz?

Thanks guys! I've built the D.VII before and know it's a great quickbuild, and the Dr.I looks a treat on the sprues.

Sadly no, it's the 1/72 one. It's still a beautiful sheet which I'll use on the Roden 1/72 Pfalz I started in 2007 or so and recently picked up again. I showed the decal sheet to my fiancee and mentioned I hadn't wanted to hand-paint it, she just shook her head! The big one will follow in time, the big thing is finding a retailer who doesn't charge megabucks to ship it to me.

I guess I was confused by the "Large Box" and the thread you started on the WNW and Encore Pfalz. Still this should be a great build!
