I made this base mask for a friend who is doing Berthold's bird. He intends to spray the base white, apply mask and then spray blue over the whole base, peel off mask revealing Bertie's winged sword in all her glory. His WNW Berthold Pfalz DIIIa will be parked on top. I will post up some pics when he gets round to finishing both base and model.

Cheers,
VB

I see that you moved to my favourite part of building WWI aircrafts - rigging. One can only wonder what turnbuckles you are using  ;) Nicely done so far mate!
Best regards

That's really looking good, von Pfalzmechaniker.  The pale grey and black schemes really accentuate the shapeliness of this aircraft, and you've done the scheme proud.

I look forward to the next update.

Cheers.

Dal.

Thanks for the great comments! The very fuel I need to push me over the finishing line.  ;)

Nano update:
For reasons unknown, WNW's has left out the reinforced foot strip on the port-side wing. Not anymore!
I need to spray and glue the wee strip in place, but one thing at a time, eh!

Cheers,
BVB

P.S. You guys inspire me to create this sort of madness!

von Detailler,
I did mine with painted decal but yours is much better, has more "relief". Well done!

Great work on the reinforced plate, Von Detailer!  Your talent is showing, my friend.
I am enjoying your interesting and helpful build.  Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
