i'm looking to verify the accuracy of the russian markings contained in the old hobbycraft kit. the one with the skull on the rudder and it says "GOD" or "6od" on the fuselage. does there exist a profile to confirm the colors?

Yes, in 'Nieuport Fighters in Action", and the FMP book, plus Wings Palette. It's short for 'Boris'.
