Very nice work on the core colour of this one. I was a little worried that all that preshading might show through a bit too much but you've done a great job and it looks spot on to these eyes.

I agree with Nigel. Not too much showing. Just right.

Thanks Nigel and Rick ,

I was worried myself that the ghost effect for the pre-shading would be a bit much for such a light colour and when I was spraying the layers ...it's not going to look right but as the layers kept getting added to started to blend together . First time using light colours for this .WW 2 subjects I used darker shades .

I had missed your earlier update Alexis - apologies for not commenting earlier.

The interior looks very good, but as commented it sadly will not be seen very much. The rest of the build is going well - the painting looks good to me but then I use a hairy stick for painting so I am not one to use preshading.

Stephen.

No worries Stephen and thanks for following when you can  :)

Bit of progress to report , starting with the decal ling the fish scales went on better the what I was figuring . Setting solution was used to get them to snuggle down around the details . I glad there wasn't a lot of decals for this on . Once sealed the weathering began with a wash of Flory's Grime  followed by a flat coat . Pastel chalk  and Tamiya weathering sets finished off the rest with staining and grime , oil stains , mud splatter . This was all sealed in with a coat of Taimya clear flat . All parts other then the guns which still need a bit work are ready to go . Working on making the turn buckles now , some of the lines will be rigged now making it easier later on with out so many tight area at the wing roots .

Wow, that is looking really good Alexis. The overall finish is really good, great work with those decals and some excellent weathering going on.
