RWD-10 ( 1/72, Ardpol)
« on: August 04, 2025, 06:08:38 AM »
One more little project from the side line of my interests.
A resin kit of a lovely acrobatics trainer from RWD company dated at mid 1930s.

The kit is long unavailable, yet I was lucky to grab a second hand copy at one of Polish modeling contests last year and now its turn has finally come.

Preparations are now well underway. The enigma interior is built with some guesses, especially regarding the ailerons control gear and throttle linkage, also the surprisingly missing rudderbar was made from scratch wire bits. The flimsy struts are armed with wire inserts, undercarriage struts lengthened by 1 to 1.5 mm plastic bits. More to come.

Following with interest Prze

There was a free flight model of this one which I remember seeing tootling around at one of the indoor events (Scale Nats at Nottingham perhaps?) Seeing your build reminds me how pretty it is. Looking forward to watching your progress  :)

Looking very good. I have found CA to be my favourite method of filling seams, especially the VMS black CA.

Thanks, Nigel.

Main cabane supports attached, the wing dry fit, everything looks promising.

And the other sides, decalled and sealed, too.
Now for some delicate shading of linen surfaces.

Thank you, Nigel and Joerg.

And some progress with the assembly. Not an easy deal, all the struts had to be adjusted but finally it is almost ready and the geometry is kept.
