One night rooting around evilbay, I came across this listing while looking for something else.
It was for the DML triplane. I already have three in the case but this one caught my eye.
In the photo of the listing showing the contents of the box was all this other light blue plastic. They wanted $30.00 or make offer, I offered $20.00 and the seller accepted.

My suspicions were right. Mixed in with the DML kit was a complete Revell 1/28 scale with usable decals.

WooHooo...I may build this just the way Revell instructed us by using the blue plastic as my base and adding the streaky green.
After the Hannover, something simple is in order. I want a triplane as it would have appeared on April 21, 1918.

I was amazed nobody makes a sheet of decals for this aircraft but I was able to piece together most of the correct crosses but I will still have some cutting and splicing to do. Even the Eduard sheet for their 1/48 issue has the rudder and the fuselage crosses too thin.

So this will be on the desk next. I'm looking forward to a simpler build but I'm sure some of you have already reached your lifetime allotment of red triplanes.

The resin bust of MvR included in the DML kit is free to a good home as I already have one, let me know.
