I have replaced the fuel gauge on the fuel tank with clear stretched sprue

The pilot's seat and engine crankshaft have been replaced by printed parts, which are also available from CSM.

Some oil paint for the plywood panels, but everything still has to dry

Here is the engine control bracket. The ejector pins will no longer be visible later when other cockpit parts are fitted

To be continued 😉

Cheers
Joerg

Very nice Progress, J?rg! I wish I had also replaced the fuel gauge with clear plastic. Very nice touch!
Greetings to Hamburg!

P. S.: Have you been at the international shipmodeling days at the Maritime Museum?  I have spent some very nice days there  :)

Thank you, Marc and Andreas!
Andreas, I wasn't in Hamburg at the time, so unfortunately I wasn't able to visit the international shipmodeling days (but next time you're in Hamburg again, you have to come and see me).
Today a small update, the oil colour still has to dry and therefore the cockpit can only be assembled later.
I added the cross-brace rigging to the cockpit frames and completed it with 1:48 scale turnbuckles. You can see these turnbuckles on the photos in the excellent booklet of the kit from CSM.
The side panels will be fitted later.

In the meantime, I have attached the fuel tank and assembled the control column with the control cables

Assembling the foot plates and rudder bar with PE foot straps and seat with seat belts. Looks a bit rough in the macro shot, but fine when viewed with the naked eye.

Cheers

The cockpit is now largely assembled, a few control cables are still missing and then a little weathering

Dryfitting of cockpit and fuselage, slowly you realise that it will be a Nieuport

Cheers

Hey mate! This is a Walk in the Park, not a race  :)
Nice job all around.
When I will be in Hamburg, I will drop by happily!

In Siebenlehen? My modeling club will be there. I dropped. If I had known this. . . The same weekend I will be in Ergolding, close to Munich, on a model show. I would have been happy to meet you, folks!

Thank you for your kind words.
@ Andreas and Nigel: a race is not the intention. The kit is so good, everything fits without time-consuming grinding or correcting, and that's why it goes faster than usual. And the main thing: it's great fun.
@ Edgar: I hope that we will meet again in Lingen for the EME

Cheers

Thank you RAGIII.
No big news, just that the hull is now glued together. Everything fits together straight away, no need to fill gaps that need to be sanded. CSM has done an excellent job here

Cheers
