so here we are now:

what type of spray booth do we like for airbrushing?

if you made one, please share how & what components.

OK, I really don't understand the first part of your post, but I use a Mr. Hobby Spray Booth enclosed in a wooden box on my bench. Pardon the mess:

I use the portable one that's all over the internet, just Google portable airbrush booth. Works fine but it's not massive. You can fit 1/32 two-seaters in it.

I once bought a cheap one via Amazon. I am still happy with it.

That's the same as mine, except I have an extractor hose out the back (which I stick out the window).

Yep same here. Seems to do the job nicely and the filter can be easily replaced with new foam filter that is either available on the roll or cut to size.

I had thought about that but I knew myself being too lazy to open my window every time which is far over my working table almost out of reach?

OK, I really don't understand the first part of your post,  . . . .

there's always someone whose knee-jerk response is to "i googled it and found xx amount of reviews"

if i wanted that, i would not have asked here for suggestions.

and yet, still it happened, albeit a tad downward than anticipated.

thanks for the inputs. i have pretty much resigned myself to the Paasche HSSB-22 despite its shortcomings. it will at least provide a good carcass for subsequent improvements should

they be undertaken. on web, it's anywhere from 525$ to 290$ US dollars depending on the source/ supplier.

Hmmm, so you don't like people confirming that they use the ones you found in your Google search. Apologies.
