A bit more on the interior and I put the side skins on too.  Boy am I glad I just got a Windsock from Evilbay.  I made some interior changes like some instrument gauges and what I think is the throttle on the right side of the cockpit.  It's represented entirely differently in the kit.  Plus...the cover of the model is rather fanciful as it shows the Knoller in the teeth of a dogfight with what looks like a Gloster Gladiator (At least it has two wings) but none of these apparently saw combat and were mostly simple trainers.  Plus...it says that the restored example currently in a museum has the wrong colors and shows metal cowlings that should have a continued pattern of hexes.  Oh, well.  It's still looking cool to me!

More soon...Dan

That is looking very nice indeed, hard to believe it's a paper/card model....

Plus...it says that the restored example currently in a museum has the wrong colors and shows metal cowlings that should have a continued pattern of hexes.
I didn't like to tell you that but sadly it's another case of a museum ruining an original artifact with a poorly researched "restoration". But like you say, the model will look very cool.

I knew this was going to be good and so far I'm right!

Thank you, Rick, Alan and Nigel!  I did some touch up painting on the interior, made my control column and installed it.  Looks nice and busy yet everything has a purpose.  Scratching my head about the pilot's seat but that may be done by the evening.  ;D

Cheers,

Dan

Thanks you two.  Tiny update with the pilot and observer's seats.  The cool thing about this model is that the cockpit is huge and you can see everything even when it's done.  One could go nuts with this machine...Dan

Thanks, DM!  Yours looks awesome too.  I need to start my engine soon...

Here is a bit more with some top skins and the forward metal coverings installed too.  Coming along nicely.
