After numerous tedious sessions of polishing and primer airbrushing I am finally happy with the smoothness of the main parts - especially important for the wings which are to be covered with semitransparent losenge decals to avoid silvering.
They are now painted gloss white, as is the rudder. The remainder will be airbrushed dark green, except for the wheel covers and engine cowling, which will get their yellow.

You're doing a great prep job for all of us, Prize. I hadn't realised there was so much refining to be carried out. Forewarned is forearmed!
Can't wait to see you get the colour on!

Excellent, the magic is happening...... Nice start on the paintwork.
Did you paint the prop or is it carved? No matter how I tried I could not paint or mask laminations on the Wotan.

Colourful!
I went back to compare the surface finish now to what it was when you started... it's quite an enhancement! The present cowling doesn't show a hint of the print lines that were there from the beginning.
