Looks fantastic!  I really like the markings on this one - the tail feathers especially.
Cheers
Matt

Thanks, and yes, the scheme is Striking! The tail feathers were done using some Strippers I had on hand from Bobs Buckles! I ended up painting the horizontal tail black and then used the strippers to mask prior to a coat of white.

Wow.  8)
Just love the way this is coming along (I've a soft spot for Dr1's and have looked at the big 24th one a couple of times) ;)

Can't wait to see it all weathered up
Paul

Thanks Paul! Diego says I will get the weathering all wrong  :D
RAGIII

Oh my that is looking pretty! I love the scheme, not often done but very striking.

Cheers!

BC

Thanks Brad, Greatly appreciated!

This is now looking like something special RAGIII. You're building it so dam quick as well.
Alan.

Thanks Alan!

That's looking very cool. The streaking looks even better now all the markings are on, it really does look like the real thing IMO. It's a great scheme as well, you've handled all the markings brilliantly.

Thanks Ben! Hopefully I can keep the weathering to a level that won't detract from the scheme  8)

Thanks Nigel. I had hoped it would pull together once the markings were applied and I feel it has done that to My satisfaction .

That has to be the best looking DR1 I have seen in A very long time. It would be nice if you could post A tutorial on your streaking method.

Sorry Rick but I have had another of my periodic absences and missed this one (again!).

That is stunning - the streaking and personal markings are well up to your usual incredible standards. Very well done.

Stephen.

No worries and apologies not needed! I have been catching up on builds but haven't made it to Your Section of Scratch Built Models  :-[  So if anyone needs to say Sorry it is Me! That being said, Thank You for the comment!

Thanks Rick, don't know how I missed that.

It is not that odd as there are Many subforum threads that are worthwhile that it is easy to miss!

I started adding the final details rather than doing the weathering.

Outstanding Rick! I can only hope my 1/72 version comes out half as nice as this one!

Looking forward to seeing her over the line!

PS: JG1 was definitely using the parachute at the time of this Dr1. The only possible issue is it should perhaps be the Early Harness? I am not sure but this may even be the early Harness?
PPS: I am not going to change or worry about the Harness  :o
