1/350 Takom Zeppelin LZ38

The LZ38 was the first zeppelin to bomb London in 1915, leaving 7 dead. This airship is depicted here with a Takom P class zeppelin in 1/350 scale. The kit does not have many parts, but there are many small and delicate PE pieces.
A build thread is here:
https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=14049.0
I have photographed the model against a black background, as if it were in the night sky, and photoshopped out the supporting rods.
This was a challenging kit, but I found it enjoyable and it is certainly something different.
I hope you enjoy this diversion from more standard aircraft fare. Thanks for looking in.

Gorgeous work on the model, which I watched in the build log with great interest. And the photo session style adds a lot to the overall impression. You have definitely built an unusual model - warmest congratulations!

I second everything Przemysław said, and have to tell you those are some of the best model photos I've seen, Ken; they really give you a sense of the monstrous size of the real things. The thought of taking one on in a B.E. makes me realize just how courageous those Home Defence pilots had to have been.
Great job.

Love this
(Might even be tempted to pick up a kit if I see one . . . .)

Your Zeppelin is brilliant, Ken -
Love the tonal variation on the fabric and a good way to photograph the completed model.
Regards

Thank you for the positive comments, everyone.
I read on a website that the gas bags were made from the lining of cows intestines and it took 250,000 cows to make one zeppelin!

This reminds me of my grandmother telling me that they looked like giant sausages in the sky! That is a truly impressive and different model superbly photographed. Many congratulations for such a brilliant project.

That is REALLY nice. I like it a lot. I like the way you varied the color tones and the subtle weathering.

A bit late to the party here, Ken - just catching up after a long holiday. But I have to commend you on a very attractive model. And the way you've photographed it - really amazing pictures of it. Well done, as always.
Cheers,
Gary

Brilliantly done Ken. Looks so menacing in your photos. I’m going to have to look for one of these now.
