Hi all,
paid a little visit to the army museum in Brussels (about 5 minutes away from my home)
The museum has an interesting collection of WW1 planes and artefacts. Some of the planes are still in unrestored condition, some others are restored or currently under restoration.
Apart from the aircraft hall, the museum has an enormous collection of WWI uniforms, weapons, tanks, cannons, etc.
If you ever plan to visit Brussels, make sure this museum is on your itinerary. (free admission by the way :-))
They have an LVG as well that is under restauration, but it wasn't accessible at this time.
If anyone want's close up pictures of any of the planes, let me know. I would be happy to help you out with that.
Regards
Philippe

This beautifully restored pre war plane was in the back of the hall, apart from the exhibition. Anyone who knows what it is?
Yes Philippe, it is a 1911 Battaille

A Halberstadt that will be restored soon. They took the wings off last summer. It still had the original lozenge.
