Hi Gary,

No, I did try that but found it just blocked all the light out, so now I have the lighting un-diffused and as close up as possible!

To get the depth of field it needs to be bright…

Well - if it's any consolation, I recently bought a 4-foot tent with all the various back-drops and velcro & zippers and found exactly the same thing, so it's direct lighting for me too, with four 500Watt daylight bulbs placed strategically on tripods  ;)

Absolute fantastic work. I love the clean work and the subtle shading on the rudder. What a great progress!

I had missed that! I suppose that it has to do with the painting process? Looks fantastic!
I'm also very happy that the serial numbers worked out.

Almost finished?

Thanks guys,

Yep, I’m enjoying the build, quite simple but still seems to take a long time!

The shading is a bit of pre shading followed by some pastel work, I haven’t really used these before but I’m liking the effect. It’s a little more controllable than airbrushing.. but I’m still learning!
