Hi matey

Was actually going to do this scheme but am living happily vicariously through your build. Very clean, lovely paint application.
I tried to paint some very thin strip for the wood on the inner fuselage cockpit. However it messed up the fit a bit. So I guess you just need some magnification, a thin brush and steady hand?  Anyway looking forward to the end result :)

Hi  :)

I airbrushed mine - it’s hard to paint accurately with a brush… I masked the horizontal bars first, painted those, then masked the verticals.. just saves complicated masking!

Hope that helps..

What swag did you make off with Guy? The great Wingnuts heist hasn't made the national news yet so you may not have to hole up in a safe house.

It's nice to see a Pup underway. I really wouldn't worry about it having a Gnome instead of a Le Rhone engine. It's got to be fun and what you've done so far looks terrific!

Apologies Richie, I seem to have missed your post somehow…

I made off with an SE5a, Hannover, 2 x Albatri & a Fokker E.IV… I’m still in hiding  8)

Haha, no apologies needed Guy! The SE5a on its own would have been a fine haul. I gave a Fokker EIV to my brother before the WNW balloon went pop, it's still just sitting his stash!

The Pup is looking excellent, I must get round to building mine one day.

Just a couple of snaps from the bench  ;)

Masks for markings and just the aluminium to go, then it’s rigging!  :P

Very nice work on the markings, Guy. Everything looks great. I also spy a sanding pen in the background  ;)
Cheers,
Gary

Great work with the markings!

I think I 'need' a sanding pen as well... I might even 'deserve' one, don't you think?! 😄

Very nice build all around.  I like the clean look of the interior with lovely wood-linen contrast.

Your photos look great, Guy. Are you using a lighting “tent” as a diffuser?
