Hello everyone.
I still have other things to add to the diorama but there's enough there to display the finished Special Hobby Fokker B.II. I thought it better to show it now due to my slow build rate and you can see the story. The idea came from a childhood experience when I was with my father in his Land Rover and he stopped to drive on and view some land that was up for sale. What was an empty field suddenly became filled with cattle and we were their prisoners. I had originally planned to have the Fokker surrounded by a herd like we were but later thought it would be more comical if just one BAMF bull had him trapped on the top wing. The bull is a Hungarian Grey and was made from a highly modified child's toy.
Thanks to all that followed the build https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=13203.0 and thanks to Special Hobby.
Alan.

I heard that it all started when a bloke called Archie Duke shot an ostrich 'cause he was hungry!

Alan, that's great

Love the turned metal effect on the cowling!

This bull better take care or he will find himself on the units menu.

There is a picture in OTF 37-4 that show cattle grazing on a German airfield by aircraft. A good idea fodder for animals was in short supply in the Central powers in the last half of WW I.

That is a brilliant idea! A eye-catching way to display an excellent model.

I agree with Dave - the turned metal on the cowling os very good.

Excellent model! As others have stated, very cleverly displayed. It reminded me of a series of photos that I once saw of a force landed Piper Cub that had been comprehensively destroyed by a bear.

Thank you Dave, James, L.M., Flamingo and KiwiZac for your kind comments. I did think the idea might be a little bit corny but seeing James's comment on the archive picture makes me feel vindicated (though to get in that situation he more likely landed on a cattle farm rather than cattle mooooving onto an airfield).

Very well executed Alan!  Great idea with the diorama, the bovine looks very realistic. Beautifully done Fokker as well.

Different, humorous and just brilliant. I love the back story to how you came up with the idea too.
