Going on...
After mounting the midspan turnbuckles on the struts I gathered my courage and attached the upper wing to the tower. And then inserted the front 4 interplane struts

After couple of minutes for the CA glue to set I started with the rear struts. They turned out to be about 1mm too short. I added the additional pieces of wire and did the left side pair. The right side later when I cool down... There is also a slight distortion in the plan view but this should be an easy correction with the rigging stagger lines.

Looks great and hopefully it will be as easy of a correction as you envision !

Awesome! I can't see any problem with the wing alignment in the photos but I am sure your great skills will correct anything you have noticed.

Thanks Rick and Richie.

There was indeed a distortion in plan view but as I expected a careful tensioning of stagger lines remedied it, so I can declare that now geometry of the wing cellule is sufficiently close to symmetry 😉

You can also see that the front supports of cantilevers are missing. Yesterday I found them to be a tad too long, so I decided to rig the wings first and then I will check again and adjust their length if necessary.

And yes, I am extremely happy to have this long and difficult project nearing the successful end.

I think Richie Has said it perfectly! Looking Brilliant! I sort of wish this Aircraft were available in a Less complicated 1/32nd scale Plastic kit as your build is making Me want to do one!

Going on. The rigging is well advanced. The cantilever struts almost complete, I had to make new longer rear diagonal ones, they are airbrushed and ready for installation. I have also rigged the ailerons, which are also now ready to be attached. Two or three evenings and the beast should be finished (!!!).

Impressive beyond words Prze, a beautiful model in all regards!
A few words from the previous stand out; "complex and brilliant" say it well and particularly, as Borsos states, "epic". Your work brings so much to this Forum and is always a pleasure and privilege to share ...... many Thanks!
Cheers,
Lance

Thank you Dave and Lance.
Lance, your words are the highest recognition I might get, too high. It is my honour to be accepted here among so many great modelers of WW1 aircraft.

Well, a brief report from today, the main rigging finishedand ailerons attached, though not yet fully connected. Unfortunately I will have to make a 2 days pause, though I feel itching in my mind and fingers knowing that the end is just one good evening away...

And no, the box serving as a base during this stage does not hint at my next project, it was just sitting at the stash top when I was looking for the base  ;)
