WNW Roland DVIa
« on: January 25, 2013, 02:46:05 AM »
I've decided to start the topic already although I'm waiting for the kit to arrive.

The scheme I'm planning on doing is this one;

I've decided to add some extras that I've ordered;

Faded lozenge decals

Spandaus

Engine parts

I'm also adding one of Doug Craners Axial props, which arrived today, it is a beautiful looking laminated prop and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.

Cheers for now.

Pete.

Nice one, Pete!  Can't wait to see this one move forward.  The Roland D.VIa is my favorite German scout.
Cheers,
Bud

Wow thats a lot of aftermarket!   Those guns look nice, are they a real improvement over the kit parts?

Nice to see you getting busy again, Pete. Great choice, I'm looking forward to your impressions of the faded lozenge, it's probably my next order.
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I really appreciate it with the current state of affairs at home at the moment.

Graham, the guns are a great improvement on the kit parts, the barrels are beautifully turned and the cooling jacket is a solid piece, however you do have to use the rear part of the kit gun, but I haven't found it a problem in the past.

Cheers

Pete.
