Hello Pete,

thank you very much for purchasing. Very nice choose, Roland in very good kit from WNW, but please waiting, we prepare some PE parts on stock during two weeks, I send in PM PE sheet photos. And barrel from Aber are better than Master, more detailed: http://www.nordlandmodels.com/product/a32-040-barrels-for-mg-08-15:15217/

Cheers,

Vladimir

Thanks Vladimir, I've had a look at the Aber PDF for the guns but they look very complex, a bit too much for me, as I don't seem to have any luck working with complicated PE.

Cheers

Pete.

G'day, Pete.  I'm glad to see you making planes again.  I take it this one won't be out-of-the-box? :D

I think you made the right choice re the guns, mate.  The Aber gun set is fiddly (especially the fore-sights for the guns) and really needs to be soldered, rather than glued (I use solder on Master gun sets as well).  But once assembled, they don't look all that better than the Master guns, just a little finer in some details.  Having played with both I prefer the Master sets- the extra effort needed with the Aber sets doesn't give a much better result.

Cheers.

Dal.

Things are starting to look up now, faded lozenge decals have arrived, they look fantastic, kit should be here tomorrow, so we are on the countdown to GO.

First update of the build.

I didn't realise that the cat had struck until after it was dry, hopefully the seat cushion will cover most of it.

And finally one of Doug Craners superb wooden props.

As usual any comments gratefully received.

Cheers

Pete.
