Quickly to the further processing and painting of the signal pistol.

It was painted with several thin layers of Tamiya X-18 "Semi-gloss-Black" and a drop XF-10 "matte brown".

A wire loop is inserted on the underside where the handle is located.
Pay attention to the angle how the pistol will be mounted later on the aircraft, the metal ring was attached to the pistol rotatable (there was attached for the infantry a thin loop for the hand from leather straps etc.).
Due to the movable attachment, the thin metal ring logically follows the law of gravity.

Now the two wooden grips are painted.
As base color I used Tamiya XF-59 "Desert yellow"

Do not paint the entire grip!
The grips were screwed on the right and left, in between the metal of the gun should be seen.

After the oil paint was dry, the complete flare gun was lightly fogged with Tamiya "Smoke".

Thus, the flare gun would be completed.

As I said, this is just a tiny example of thought, trial and patience.

Back to the aileron control of D.V and D.Va

The pulleys of the D.Va were mounted inside between the rudder bar and the tank.
On the outside of the fuselage thin sheet metal plates were screwed against them.

Wingnut Wings has considered these sheet metal plates on the model.

And now it will be interesting for all those who build a D.V (!)
There, the cast-on sheet metal plates on the model fuselage should be removed and the panelline to be re-engraved.

Albatros D.Va

Albatros D.V

The text in German on this picture means with the D.Va (above) with metal plate on the outside and the D.V (below) without metal plate on the outside.

The first internals can now be mounted in the two halves of the fuselage.

In the right fuselage half, the small reinforcing bulkhead for below the rudder bar, the compass and the turnbuckle for the landing gear rigging.
Here the Albatros D.V

In the left half of the fuselage, the turnbuckle for the other side of the landing gear rigging.

Unfortunately, the sheet metal bracket on the turnbuckle attachment is not cast on.
But that's not a big problem because it can be represented quickly and easily with color.
I used RLM02 for this.

Maybe as a small tip:
After the RLM02 paint had dried, I traced the contour of the bracket with a sharp pencil to give it more optical depth.

Here as a test fit, both fuselage halves together.

That was all for today - thank you.

Other cockpit internals on all three Albies.

Both Albatros D.Va .... here the ignition key is in the Bosch ignition switch ready to start.

Albatros D.V .... here the ignition key was removed, it hangs later on the chain and dangles outside the cockpit.

Very nice wood grain inside the fuselage.  You start with Tamiya flesh it looks like?  What oil colors do you use?

I removed the molded electrical cable from the Bosch ignition switch and replaced it with a real cable.
So this cable can be pushed under the starter solenoid when the front bulkhead is installed.
A tiny step towards more realism.

With this picture I am already a few steps ahead, but here in the red circle you can see how I mean it.

@phil2015

Hi Phil,

I started with Gunze "Radome", this was used to prime the inside of the fuselage halfs.
Then a few spots here and there with some thinned yellow and partly also thinned white.
With Tamiya "Flesh" I painted the stringers and the diamond-shaped flat wooden strips next to the seat.
The wood grain was done with oil paint.
In this case with color "raw sienna".

The X-shaped  bulkhead behind the pilot seat is open on the Albatros D.V.
Here, therefore, the access hatch had to be depicted directly behind the pilot.
You don't see too much of it, so I depicted it with the simplest of means.

On the two OAW-D.Va Alba's, the standard grips on the tail had to be closed, filed and the panellines re-engraved.
OAW alba's have a kind of rod in the fuselage rear, so that the Tail can be lifted up in the back.
These holes must also be drilled.
