Well, you mention the word "patience" and exactly that is the key word and the secret behind it.
The craftsmanship, the skills, they probably have all the modelers represented here in the forum.
However, you also have to have the patience to keep going when things go wrong, to keep trying until it works.
I also had my problems in the past, if something did not work after the second attempt, then I lost interest.
But with advancing age, I also became more patient, at least in model making

Often it is first only a thought, an idea which lets one try out some things.
All the more beautiful when the thought can be converted into a nice result with one's own hands.

In the original picture you can see a signal pistol on the right side of the cockpit.
This signal pistol, I thought, you can also attach to the model, but just with some details.
So I started, after thinking, with the gimmick..... and with some patience:

First, all signal cartridges are removed from the kit part and the cartridge holder is drilled out to fit the cartridge.
