Thanks to everyone ,

Here`s what has been done this morning . the engine is done and covers will be on soon . It is a shame to cover up all the work ,but I know it`s all there . I really enjoy building the DVII and know there`s going to be a few more that I will build . Now that I know where the problem areas are the next one should be a lot easier build.

Thanks ,

Willi

Nice, I see that you haven't forgotten the radiator forward upper support either  ;) Let's see if WNW still forgets it on their D.VIIF

Hi Ivo,

I used your Post for reference .I use 0.6mm tubing instead of 0.8 mm because that's all I had . It took some time to place but makes a big difference , I guess WNW did no include it because most of the Fokkers have a cowling cover and wont be seen . Thanks Again ,

Willi,
Totally excellent! A shame to cover up the engine however I understand what you say regarding the "next one". I'm looking forward to seeing this in Completed Models, a very striking scheme done total justice by a very talented Builder. Well done all round.
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks Guy`s,

I`m getting close to getting this Fokker done. I did the landing struts over the weekend . WNW really makes it easy !Here she is on her struts.

More to come soon !

Willi,
I had commented in a post on your 1/48th scale DVII that you hadn't lost any of the skills I remembered. I understated! Your skills are even better! Lovely detailing, beautiful scheme and execution of the paintwork! By the way, sorry for chiming in late on this build but I spend a lot of time on the other forum  :-X

Thanks to everyone who has posted . It gives me energy to keep going . I hope I`m up to the standard of the builds on this site. Everyone is very friendly and it is a pleasure to post on this forum .

Hey Rick  ,Thanks! What other forum ?  The 1/48FokkerDVII is on hold ! What a pain to get the top wing on ! WNW makes it so easy.

Up date from the last few day`s :

Not the most interest part ,but I used the PE set from WNW `s for the gun barrels I paint them with gun metal . I redid the landing strut  rigging using PE turnbuckles ,they are all I had ! . I drilled out the telescopic site and added clear plastic disks using my punch and die set .

Thanks,

Willi
