One of the most spectacular schemes I've ever seen on a D.VII, Willi.  You did a fantastic job with the decal placement.
Cheers,
Bud

I'll pile on too. This is a striking colour scheme and you've done an outstanding job with the decals. Your application is flawless. Really, really impressive.

Thanks to all who have replied it is very much appreciated .

Dave your OTTO looks great I like that scheme ! The yellow Bird is not as easy as it looks . All the parts painted yellow  looked different ! I had to go back a few times to blend the yellow ! I think I finally got it  ::). The last few day`s have been spent on decaling the wings and painting all parts yellow  ::).

Here`s some photo`s of what I have done .

Thanks ,

Willi

Absolutely stunning Willi! ;D  I am very partial to this scheme (it's the one I intend to do with this kit), and your finish is crisp, accurate and very appealing.  I think you really nailed the yellow.  From what I've read, Gotthard Sachsenberg was a very interesting fellow, and obvuiously a capable figfhter pilot with 31 victories.  His D.VII is certainly unique!

You're doing a great job with this, and I'm really looking forward to the final assembly and finished product. :)  Thanks for showing the way!

Regards,

Bob

Here`s more photo`s of what has been done in the last few days . I still have to connect the throttle and fuel lines . I have to also do the supports for the radiator like in IvotB  Fokker DVII.  I almost missed this decal ! it shows the placement in the photo on page 27 .

More tocome soon ,Willi

Hello Willi:

This sis really taking shape and it really shows how striking this scheme really is, with the lozenge and the checkerboard, very striking indeed.  Your engine work is truly the centerpiece.  Looking forward to more.
