Am I the only one who pulled one of these kits out of their stash and moved it to the head of the que after seeing this?  I also ordered some stainless steel wire.  I think I'm going to bust out the Blue Rider Easter Egg decals for it.

Thanks for the inspiration RVW.  You did an excellent job of it.

;D Haha - I know the feeling Stuart. I picked up a box containing 3 of these for the princely sum of £8.00 recently and I've just shuffled them nearer to the top of the waiting pile too. (Although I'll think I'll make up just one of them for now)

Love the pale scheme Rip Van Winkle which suits the aircraft very nicely and shows off it's lines to great effect. Coincidentally I was reading an old issue of Windsock with an article about the cannon armed Spad. The cover has a fabulous red painted one which would certainly stand out  . . .

Anything with double flying wires is a challenge.
In 1/32 I'm apprehensive. In 1/72 I'd have to be committed!! :o

Stuart,
Do you mean the Starfighter "Eastah Aig" decals?  That a/c, to the best of my knowledge the later type with the squared off wingtips, while this build is of the early SPAD XIII.

I was not aware of the difference between the early vs late version until I built this model.  Good point WD.
