1/72 Roden Felixstowe F.2a
« on: May 05, 2022, 02:15:03 AM »
Good day.
I will start building a flying ship. The model has been with me since 2006... the p.h. fret and AIMS decals.
I just wanted to put it all together and put it on the shelf, a
beautiful, colorful boat. But! Out of nowhere, "Wingnut wings" released his Felixstowe and I realized that Roden's model's interior is not good at all. Even with Part photo etched.
And I began to be smart with  the boat's skeleton. The white pieces are partitions.
Here's what happened tonight:

I will watch this with great pleasure and interest. Felixstowe flyng boats were always close to my heart. I have 3 of them in my collection, two Rodens and one WNW. Unfortunately, I could not correct all the errors on my Roden's ones because WNW was not yet available when I built them. Good luck with your build!

Thank you.
Yes, a very beautiful plane, I agree with you. Free time for construction, it's a pity i can't buy it.

This is one of those types that fascinates me, and yet I have no desire to own (let alone build!) one, so I'm interested to follow along. A great start!

Very impressive use of PE and scratch building with the interior framework and floor. Looking Lovely!

Only just seen this - you are indeed either brave or mad (or both!) trying to attempt this. Looking at what you have done so far I would add skilled to the description.

Stephen.

Good day. Finished painting and installing the deck. It was not easy to understand, decipher and depict a deck of three levels. The main structure of the hold is almost finished - there is stairs, one transverse beam and a wooden "slide" missing.
I go further.
