Hello together,

Thank you very much for the warm welcome. I have to say, I haven't really been away. Over all these years I have read along, but rarely commented.
I have also noticed that the forum has grown in time, but am extremely happy to meet many old acquaintances here "from the early days".
Now I have found an image upload provider that makes sense for me and I am able to upload images here again.

I got myself a second bike, a Honda V2, more precisely a Vtr 1000 SP-1, more than 20 years old, but a nice occupation to renovate this old racing legend over the years (I think I'm retiring at the end of next year, I need the smell of gasoline and oil and the sound of the bikes, in short I need an occupation in retirement).

But now back to the Morane.
I made a small tool out of brass to mount the motor, propeller and spinner exactly in one line.
In the tip of the spinner I glued a small self-made plastic bushing as a guide.

Great to see you again, Bertl! And the spinner of your Morane looks amazing.
Best regards,
Andreas

The propeller was painted in sand color, then painted with colored pencils in fine lines (unfortunately I don't have a picture of this).
After that, the wood grain was depicted with oil paints.
The propeller was finally darkened with highly diluted brown.
The metal fittings were painted with Mr. Metalcolor "dark iron".

The metal triangles for deflecting the bullets were also modified based on original images.

The rear cover for the spinner and the two hub plates for the propeller were punched out of a thin Evergreen plastic sheet.

The back of the propeller mount was built as close as possible to the original.

Absolutely stunning work on the prop and deflector assembly Bertl - there's much more to it than I thought! Just beautiful.
