LGOC lorry - sort of...
« on: August 14, 2021, 08:32:54 AM »
Many of the LGOC B type buses were requisitioned during WWI, initially as troop transporters. Eventually, due to their simple modular construction some were adapted into other things, like ambulances, lorries, pigeon lofts...

Like this:

My preferred scale is 1/32, and way back in 1962 Airfix produced a model of the B type: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/airfix-471-1910-b-type-bus--180977. It has been re-released many times and can be found pretty cheap on Ebay. Mine cost £10 including postage

Sooo...

It's a sort of modular construction:

A mix of kit and styrene sheet:

Of course, Miniart make a lovely 1:35 version... https://www.scalemates.com/kits/miniart-38027-british-lorry-3t-lgoc-b-type--1276547
