Well, Here we are a LOng Time After the Disaster to the McCudden SE5a. Three things happened to make this one Rise yet again!
1. I learned that the SE5a was Dave Wilsons Favorite WW1 aircraft
2. I am following the under construction builds even though I am not always commenting. The SE5 conversion being built by Sandy gave Me an Idea on Mounting the upper wing.
3. I was able to procure a Donor kit to replace the ruined struts from the previous attempt.

I used the New struts and attached the Interplane struts to the lower wing. Once dried I glued the upper wing to the interplane struts. When dried I went back and fitted the cabanes. All went really well and I am  99% sure I will now finish the McCudden bird!

Perseverance and success probably have something to do with each other. Well done, and it's a nice looking model!

Good to see this one progressing again - you can't not go 100% for an SE!

I think it's my SE5 conversion you mean, and yes, it gave me a surprise when I got to the wing mounting stage to find how useless the cabane struts are in this otherwise lovely kit. (Apart also from engine fit in engine bay!)

I always do cabanes then outers, even in vacforms or scratchbuilds,so this was a first for me too.

Anyway it worked fine and I can see yours will too.
Great to see you enjoying 1/32 WWI again😊

Thanks Sandy! My Mistake has been Edited out  8) Your Idea worked well. I should also mention that I re-Drilled the locating holes making them just a tad deeper!
