Roden 1/32nd Nieuport 28, 94th Aero USAS
« on: April 18, 2021, 06:32:17 AM »
So the Nieuport 28 is finished. Accepted from the 95th this one was assigned to Major Huffer, commander of the 94th at the time. Rickenbacker was flying it in combat when the wing fabric was stripped away during a dive. Repaired overnight and  Rickenbacker was credited with a Victory the Next Day while flying this aircraft.

I used just a few Part PE pieces like the L shape on the right forward fuselage, the mounting locations for the rigging of the double wires on the fuselage, prop hub and mounting plate, and perhaps one or two more. Other Mods were using the Aviattic cowling and seat. Fianlly Gaspatch Vickers were used.

Very nice indeed Rick!

That’s a scarily realistic face!

That's wonderful, Rick.

Beautifully finished and presented with your simple display base as well.

I think this is one of Roden's (in this scale) better models to build.

You do make some super models Rick and this is another to add to your growing collection. The figure and base really set it off well - and the finsihs is immaculate.
