Lukgraph 1/32 scale Friedrichshafen FF.33L on the way
« Reply #15 on: March 23, 2021, 07:21:46 AM »
I see they have a premier edition with clear doped linen and wood grain decals. Is it worth it? Their decals any good or should one stick with Aviattic decals? I am not trying to start anything just curious about their decals.

James

As far as I know it is their first venture into such decals. They have to be assessed yet :)

Thank you so much for the info my friend. Very much appreciated. That's why this forum is the best and friendliest.

Does anyone know if any of the markings will be Friedrich Christiansen's FF.33L?

Hello James,

it looks like there are no Christiansen decals in the kit.
Click on the link, then you can click through the series of pictures - the available decal schemes are shown at the end.

Bertl, thank you so much my friend. Phooey. It would have been cool of there were Christiansen decals, but it is still an awesome looking kit.

For the benefit of the uninformed, what did Christiansen's plane look like?

The kit version is a FF.33 L (CHFT)

Kit decals...

Christiansens was a FF.33 L C2MG with a Machine Gun for the Pilot.

Thanks for the information.  What did Chritiansen's plane look like.  Any special markings or numbers?  Was it linen or painted up?

In the profiles section of the Zeebrugge book published by Aeronaut Christiansen's FF.33L was either linen or the blue color like his W.12 & W.29 with the same "C" marking's on the side of the fuselage.

Hi all,
Łukasz at 'Lukgraph' is apparently just waiting for the photo-etch to arrive (on its way) and the FF33L kits will be ready to be shipped.
He's hoping in the next couple of weeks,

Hi
The wood and canvas looks nice, I’m sure someone will make and post a cracking end result.
Cheers all

Okay, in the images below are the cover of the book ZEEBRUGGE, an excellent resource of the activities and aircraft of the German Naval Air Service on the Mole at Zeebrugge.
The rest are some neat markings for the FF33L
