Hmm ...

As you may know I live in Germany. And it is possible that here we have the most regulations regarding buildings. My father's house was also affected regarding fireplaces and negative pressure. Already the kitchen exhaust to the outside needs a switch on the window. The fireplace required additional air ducts.

If you create severe negative pressure in the room - the air must come from somewhere, and the modern windows are very sealed - it can affect the flame of the gas heater next to it, please watch out! Carbon monoxide is dangerous!

Just my cents ...

A lot of concerns here!

It’s a well ventilated garage Frank, big drafty door on the garage, I’m really not worried  ;) My last set up was a modellers spray booth with attached fan - it was next to useless, hardly any draw and the fumes did concern me, hence this set up.

Ok, fine!
I have only seen the heater, and point out.
After all, we want to see more models from you and are worried about you! :D

Cheers,
Frank

I completely understand folks' concerns. However, I was watching a video online regarding fans, spray booths, etc. and the gentleman did point out that while we hear of the dangers of airbrushing and fumes, etc. have any of us ever heard of anyone blowing their place up due to airbrushing and fume build up?  I know I haven't, your mileage may vary.

Thanks Frank,

Nice to know you care about me so!  ;D

And Bob and WD  ;)

It’s good to hear concerns though, does make me double check the set up, but as I’ve said, I’m perfectly happy with it.

I don't think explosions are the first concern.
Painting with solvent based paints and poor ventilation will give you headaches.  I know.
It's more of a health related concern from my end.

Guy, if you are confident about your setup, then build some models!

Guy, it's lovely to see your new set up. I think you're better prepared for fumes than most modellers. Just make sure your fan is not turned up so high as to suck up some of your smaller parts  ;D
Cheers,
