Eduard Fokker D.VII Udet
« on: February 19, 2021, 08:16:31 PM »
So,

Finally done, 1/3rd of the ‘Du Noch Nicht’ Eduard boxing.

It’s a very nice fitting kit, lovely detail, my only bugbear was the strut attachment points, the outer ones are ok but there’s not a lot on the inner ones and I had a job getting this right(ish).

Numerous other problems of my own making! See the build in progress:

It could be a lovely model to someone who had any modelling ability  :P

Anyway, looks ok at a distance!

Guy

Ps my photo backing boards seem to have gotten misplaced during my house move - I’ll get some more, you’ll have to excuse me with my workbench as a ‘studio’!

I did have the Pup lined up Alexis, but I think with my trials and tribulations over 2 wings I might have a bash at the Spitfire first... just to get me back on track - and it’s Tamiya - what could go wrong!?

Turned out really nice Guy!  8)

Glad you have the perseverance to press on to the finish line. I know how it is when you have a mishap or two near the the end. It can really take the wind out of your sails.

I think you did Herr Ernst proud!  ;) Looking forward to your Albi & Tripe builds.

For someone who claims to lack modelling skills, this must rank as evidence to the contrary. The finish si super, especially the lozenge and tapes on the wings, and the pilot adds a very realistic touch. If the other pair come out like this you will have an excellent trio of models in the (new) cabinet.
