Special Hobby Morane Saulnier A1
« on: February 17, 2021, 06:47:47 AM »
With the Pfalz build coming to a close it's time to pick another WW 1 subject and with having a few shelf queens nesting in the stash . It is time once again to pull one out and get it finished .

I started this one a long time ago and got to the point of painting the struts ( All other items are set to go ) I was told that the struts are too short . Well that crushed my spirit for the build .

I wanted to do a different scheme for this , I'm not a fan on french camo colours so it is in British Livery and looks pretty dame good .

I did some detail to the pit , but can't recall what I actually added , not much can be seen anyway . I need to finish painting the struts and I will go from there on moving forward .

Excellent Alexis! I am really looking forward to seeing you finish this one off! This is yet another aircraft I would love to see in 1/32nd!

Oh Alexis, this looks nice so far in a interesting livery!

Is this 1/48? I have this also in my stash, but put it deeper, because the needed Gnome-N is not (yet?) available from Small Stuff. So I will wait and have enough kits to be build until the rotary arrives 8)

May be you found it already, here is a nice walk around. May be it helps with the struts:

Good luck!

I am also in. Started the same kit a year ago, lost my interest, and,now i see it's new MS era ahead. I like your colour scheme choices and can't wait to see finished model.

Hi Terri,

I get why the error stopped you in your tracks.  I look forward to seeing you overcome it and finish the build.

Cheers

Hugh

Very neat. I am looking forward to see it completed - you will certainly manage to fix the strut issue, if it is so.

Frank , yes it is 48 scale and thank you for the link . I had it saved at one time so it's it nice to have a ref point .

I like it!! That is a neat little airplane. I am really surprised that there weren't more monoplanes out there; especially with the early success of the Eindecker.

Looks like you have made an excellent start on this Alexis, so it should not take too long to complete it. I shall be following along with interest - I am a fan of the parasols.
