Gotha UWD, WNW 1/32
« on: September 15, 2020, 03:17:24 PM »
Only 99% done (waiting for props from Proper Plane)...but I thought I'd post it before I launched it out the window for a test flight. Minimal shell shock symptoms acquired...should be easy to overcome.

Proper Plane wood panel decals, Bob's Buckles, acrylic, pastel, oils, Dachshund saliva applied for engine lubricant...

Thanks for looking,
Jason

Beautifully completed.
You should sell the first picture to Elmer's as a great advertisement for what can be achieved with their glue!

Yes, indeed, it was all done with Elmer’s glue and of course camel hair (dromedary) for the rigging !

Wow! That looks amazing. My eye was especially caught by the bombs in the forward position - very nice!

It looks fantastic-I’m impressed by your ability to use decals around the compound curves. I always seem to struggle to not get creases and the like. It actually made start a quick search to see if it’s still available! Cheers Matt

Very impressive work, Jason - I really like the look of the wood decals. Outstanding cockpit detail, too.

Thanks kindly for the feedback.  Regarding the wood panel decals on the nose, I didn't bend them around the curves, but rather cut each one to fit each panel...my therapist says that just fuels more neurosis, but the model is always top priority.
