VOISIN 10 LAR 1:48
« on: November 30, 2012, 06:17:04 PM »
Kit: Hi Tech (1:48)

Here are some photos of my VOISIN 10 LAR modell. The kit is injection moulded and has some PU, PE and white metal parts but still need a lot of scratch. I used photographs throu the Internet. Allso, I photographed beautifull restored front – cockpit in Le Bourget, Paris, France.
Hi Tech kit is only for base, for further detailing I used different plastic sheets, brass and cooper wires, thin metal foil and different tickness of fishing line. The model was painted with REVELL 09 matt color, for weatherig I used pastels. Finally was model coated with coat of Modell Master Custom semi glosslacquer.

Saso, you are a sublimely talented craftsman and modeler!  We clearly have another Star here at the Forum.   ;)  Great work.  Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful model.

I have taken note of your impressive and substantial jigs.  Can you explain how you design and construct those?  Thanks!

Regards,

Bob

Truly brilliant, Saso.  She's absolutely gorgeous.  Thank you for posting such detailed progress photos.  I have this kit and with these photos as a guide, I will no longer be afraid to start it.  Did you use the kit tail boom or did you fabricate a new one?
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks all!
Jigs: the kit includes small side profil that I used to made drawings in computer with CAD program, print the drawings on selfadhesive label. I cut parts from plywood and cement with white glue on hard base.
Tail boom: 1 mm brass rod; "wooden" struts: 0'5 mm steel rod cemented in the plastic kit strut and then thined down; undercarriage and other struts: 0'5 and 0'8 mm brass rod. All plastic struts are too thick.
