Incredible, I’m hard-pressed to imagine this being 1/72, so small and chock full of detail! Nice!!!

Extremely pretty result.  I too like the checks!  You are off to a wonderful start.  The folks on here are VERY encouraging and super knowledgeable.  You will have lots of help if you get stuck.  Though, with that start, I seriously doubt it.

Welcome!

Dan

Good looking results! Getting things square isn't that easy, but this looks perfect!

"EBF",
I missed this until now, a real beauty! A very impressive result for your first biplane and the detail and rigging in the small scale as well. Great color scheme and outstanding job on the checkerboard pattern.
Cheers,
Lance

I second all that has been said here - for your first WW1 model she's a real 'beaut, and a tough first subject to boot. That colour scheme is a real eye catcher. Bravo!

Cheers,

many thanks for all the comments, it's very much appreciated. I'm just starting my second be2c of the same kit but will do it in a different scheme, i'll start a build thread when i've got something worth taking a photo of

Again, a great job on this model. I have not seen this kit on this side of the pond. Where might one order it?

Can you point me in the direction of some references to this scheme. The more I look at it, the more I like it. I'm spending more time than I should trying to figure a way to put those checkers on an already built flying model.

There are some pretty loud Pup schemes out there and then there were the Spad Showbirds of the 94th Aero Sqdn, bit this mix of PC-10 and checkerboard strikes a balance I really like.

hi, sorry only just seen your reply, it's just a std 1/72 kit from Airfix so any retailer near you that stocks airfix should have it. If not try online

A very fine start to the WW1 aircraft modeling! Lovely subject, fine colour scheme. One to be proud of.

That is one helluva beast to start off on biplanes with, Sir!

Great work, and your nerve deserves high praise indeed.

Looking forward to more from you.
