WNW W.29 2512 (Christiansen)
« on: May 15, 2020, 01:04:29 AM »
My first Under Construction post on this forum. I got this kit from another modeler; it was part of the Duelist set; there is no box art to be had.

I started a year ago, and put it away for a while.

Much of the initial work on the engine has been completed, though there is still a bit to do.

Cockpit framing has a base coat of Model Master (enamel) Radome tan, with an application of Winsor & Newton Burnt Umber. I'm giving it time to dry, then A spray of Tamiya clear orange prior to detail painting and assembly.

Great start Bill!  The wood looks very convincing.  This is an interesting aeroplane, and I look forward to your progress.

Best regards,

Bob

Good start Bill, I think you'll enjoy this forum. I only joined a few months ago and the folks here have been so kind with passing on tips and encouragement. You don't appear to be in need of any tips, what you have done so far is first class!

A little bit of work on cockpit components:

Control column; I'm using EZ-Line the tubes are from Bob's Buckles (1.0 mm long).

The rudder bar has a tube cemented to it. The control cable will pass through it - eventually.

Cockpit assembly commences...

And I've run into my first hurdle: the kit I got did not come with any of the small decals that were on the Felixstowe sheet. It looks like I'm going to have to cobble something up from Airscale's WWI instruments sheet. Luckily, I have a set on hand!

Bill,
Which EZ-line are you using? Fine or heavy??

Cheers,

Very neat and tidy work there. The wood effect is very realistic.
