Sopwith F.1 Camel (1/16 Hasegawa)
« on: April 07, 2020, 03:05:20 AM »
Hello friends of the flying boxes,
I am proud to present you my Sopwith F.1 Camel. I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures. Don't be alarmed, there are 46 pictures!

And so the Camel will later be presented at exhibitions.

We'll see each other on my next project.

So, ah, what are you going to use for covering?  Sorry, couldn't resist Juergen.
That is a marvelous piece of model building. You have really made that kit come to life. I was eyeing that kit, but now you have both inspired and intimidated me.

Hello smperry,
sorry, but my english is not that good. What do you mean by "what are you going to use for covering?"

Really outstanding build. The details are amazing. I must say that your build has been inspiring and informative while I have been working on MY Much Smaller version!

Juergen

Sorry, I was making a joke about the model being such a beautiful stripped down airframe. I have been following your build with  great interest. The local hobby shop had one on consignment and I didn't get it, then I saw your build and went back, but it was gone. I have almost ordered one on line, but couldn't quite spare the price. I will likely get one sooner or later and your build notes and photos will be a primary source of information. You sure can be proud of this model.

Lost for words. That is a superb model and should be exhibited so that others can appreciate it. Super build log too.

Stephen.

Great result - you should be proud of this one. It is a big model so I hope you have somewhere to show her off! Cheers Matt

Hi Matt,
when the Corona crap is over, I hope to be able to exhibit the Camel for the first time at the airport festival in Gatow/ Berlin. Thank God there is still a little time until September. ;)
Cheers

Spectacular model. Those strip downs have something to them. Though, my experience from model contests is that they are generally not liked by judges. I wish you all the luck at Gatow, though!
