That candy-striper is way cool Mark!  ;D  Impressive patience and execution in applying that scheme so flawlessly.  You have quite a nice collection of interesting aircraft.  Thanks for sharing them.  :D  Very well done!

Bob

Absolutely stunning Mark, the stripes may have been a challenge but you executed the painting perfectly, this is a very appealing paint scheme, well done.

All excellent Models; I almost hesitate to include this one. It was my first in 1:32 Scale when I made a serious return to modelling almost four years ago. It's the Roden Kit, not without it's challenges but overall a very reasonable Kit given some TLC...I enjoyed it immensely.

This was my first attempt at carving my own props as well, this one a straight forward Axial.
Cheers,
Lance

Lance,
Your DIII is a BEAUTY! Great scheme, woodwork and colors! Like you said, that kit really is a challenge but the results that can be achieved with a little work are well worth the effort!

Hello Lance:

Great looking Abie:  I just purchased a book about Berthold.  Makes me want to do one of his a/c.  Your Berthold Albie is a neat model.  Your prop is great, the whole model really turned out well.  Keep 'em coming!

Best

Hello Rick, Jacek, Brad, Mark and Lance,

I missed this one, it was started long before I became member. It's becoming to much for me, can't follow anymore. All these lovely builds. I would need a hole month doing nothing more than surch the forum to catch up with everything. This said may congratulations for all these nice Albatrosses. Many congratulations.

Kind regards
Patrick

Oh my goodness!  Who can't love an Albatros?
Rick- Great work on the paintwork, particularly the red fuselage.  Beautiful model!
Jacek- Really well done kite from the Polish Squadron.  Your usual high standards.
Brad- What to say...your Albys' are absolutely wonderful.  Werner Voss's mount
has to be my favourite. Classic!
Mark- Your striped colour scheme is an amazing example of beautiful paintwork.  Very
attractive and a model that certainly grabs your attention.  Wonderful work.
Lance- Georgeous wood treatments and the carved propeller looks perfect!  The base
looks very professional as well.  Very nicely set up.

All beautiful models, guys.  Thanks for sharing your talents!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Here is my very sad looking Albatros D.III. This is a Roden kit in 1:32 scale and was one of the first WW1 aircraft kits I built when I starting modeling again three and a half years ago. I knew nothing about modeling WW1 biplanes back then so mistakes are plentiful.

Hello Des,

I hope I will make as much mistakes as you did. Can't really see much of them. You were really born to model. Wooden panel is great, colors are so subtle. Rigging terrific. Many congratulations!

Kind regards
Patrick

I'd be very happy to do as well, Des.  Really a gorgeous aeroplane and
I find extremely pleasing to the eye.  The wooden fuselage and markings are,
in my mind, very nicely done.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Mark,
I somehow missed your Albie! I remember this one and the stripe difficulty. IIRC the stripes didn't line up correctly from all angles as drawn on the instructions and box? You certainly nailed the scheme in the end!!

Des,
What can one say. A Model you consider substandard coming from your bench is better than Many can do at their best :D

Okay, here's a rerun of my D.III, a 1/32 Roden kit built as Hermann Frommherz's "Blue Mouse" from Jasta Boelke:

I have a few more of these kits in the stash, and hope to eventually build them.  So many great schemes!

With all the trodding on Roden, these are all excellent builds of the DIII
