Roland C.IIa (final version), Schusta 6, Eduard 1/48
« on: December 18, 2019, 01:29:39 AM »
Roland C.IIa final version, "white 6" Schusta 6. Flanders, late 1916 to spring 1917. Crew unknown.

The photo is an enlarged cut out of a photo seen on WNW.
Source....WNW Roland C.IIa (late) photo gallery:
http://www.wingnutwings.com/ww/productdetail?productid=3110&cat=1#

Eduard 8043, Mirage Hobby PuW 12,5 kg bombs, Bob's Buckles eyelets and tubes, Maxima Chameleon 0,12mm line, Vallejo acrylics, Ammo-Mig Oilbrushers and washes, Mr.Hobby varnish, Evergreen and Albion Alloys.
I used the WNW Roland C.II (late) manual and photo's for all the interior modifications and the scratch build bomb rack.
The "white 6" marking...masked and painted.

That looks superb to me. I especially like the propellor - very well done. The 3 - colour camouflage scheme is also very well done. Excellent pieve of modelling.

A really impressive model Robin, and your detailing is especially impressive as it's done on a 1:48 Scale subject. (it looks like the larger scale to my eyes) You've added a lot of "extras" as well and your efforts at keeping it an accurate representation of the real thing are apparent. Yes, we learn with every model and you have a healthy approach to that process ......... enjoy the Builds and keep up the great work! 8) 8) 8)
Cheers,
Lance

Four weeks is about the time it takes me to open the lid on a box. 😀 I've said it before, but it bears repeating; your speed in combination with very good results is impressive! Beautiful build! And I really like the masked six!!! /Fredrik

Robin, Your build was great to follow and the results well worth the extra effort you put in!! Love the interior work and prop. Your painting and scheme are excellent!

Fredrik,
You're working at light speed compared to me!  ;D It takes me 6 months just to decide, let alone flip the lid.  :o

Robin,
Another little beauty - Well done!  :)
