Sometimes it's a bit surprising how close one was to the finish line when a model ended up on the shelf. Hopefully this is the case for you here! Good looking build so far!

Hi guys and sorry for such a late reply back . Thank-you for your show of interest on the project .

Ken , It's not the detailing . I think the PE parts sit too high for the scale . I rather have some of that detail moulded in .PE is good for some details , but not all of it . And failing eyesight    Frank would be in all is glory on this one with the detailing and fit nicely with his W-4 . Would love to see CSM retool this kit in plastic form either 48 scale or 32 scale .

Fredrik , I still have three more shelf queens in the stash which I will work on over the winter months . Another CSM kit , Special Hobby and an Eduard all WW 1 subjects . But ...knocks on wood . If they get done they get , if not -there for next time .

Great recovery from the shelf of doom! Yes a retool or better yet a redo in 1/32 from CSM would be awesome to see as this is a very interesting aircraft.

Made a bit of progress , but not as far as I would have like . But it is the Christmas season and lunch 's and parties and folks dropping by ...all good !

I pinned the main float struts and finished drilling the rest of the holes in the fuselage for those said pins and the holes for the flight controls on the fuselage sides . Painting is under way on the struts , still the other side ( wing struts to floats ) . The undersides of the wings and fuselage have been toned down with their over coat . Almost finished with the painting now . Still have a few other struts and the white fields for the national markings .

The starting kit is a real challenge for all modellers, not for novices for sure.

I must admit, that the amount of interesting threads is increasing, but I'm not able (from time point of view) to read every sentence written in this forum

Thank you Terri, I also own some resin kits, but I have not yet build one. Only engines and things like that.
You have done a good job so far, but I also think it is a good idea to put a kit for a while aside, if some problems appear.

Roberto , might be close to the finishing line , but there is still a lot which needs to be done before a victory can be called . I do look forward on hearing your feedback as I progress through this one though , great motivation 

Danke sehr Frank ! Sooner or later you would have found it , but I do understand where you are coming from . Hard to follow and keep up to date on what everyone has on the bench and I miss a few here and there . Just to many to reply to sometimes .

This isn't my first resin kit and won't be my last , still 3 more CSM kit's and a few others including WW2 and built a few in past before . I will say this though , not a fan on resin struts
