Simply stunning, Robin!  I love the D.II and yours is one of the prettiest.

Robin,

That's beautiful.  I really like the wood effect on the fuselage.

It's the first WWI model (with rigging) I bring to a good end after 2 disastrous tries... years ago.
Congratulation Robin and thank you very much for your build report!

I like your careful handling the topic "color and paint"!

Cheers,
Frank

It may be a blasphemy for some but I consider D.II as the last nice Albatros fighter. And this model brings its essence so much to life. Lovely green-brown camo on the wings and the natural wood on the fuselage. Very, very fine, indeed.

A really lovely job Robin, the finish is excellent work and it's a VERY nice model! Now that you've accomplished this very successful Build of a WW.I subject I hope you plan to do more.
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks Lance,

Well....I'll probably finish the Fokker D.VII tomorrow and start with a 1/48 Roland C.IIa after I tidied my bench.
After that, likely an Albatros D.III and when I feel confident enough...the WNW Halberstadt after that.
So, there's at least the intention to stick around. ::)
