Looking really good so far Yorki, the PE set appears to be fairly comprehensive. It amazes me how you guys can work in such a small scale and produce these wonderful results, well done.

Have hit a slight snag with the prop, mine is very badly moulded, the spinner is ok, but the blades.....oh the blades just look like two lumps....

Any ideas anyone?

Contact Airfix. They apparently have excellent customer service and will replace parts in any kit either in production or stock still available.

You may also carve a wooden prop mate. It`s relatively easy; fortunately you don`t need a prop boss since you`ve got the spinner.
I like the progress on your Albie! So far you`ve shown pretty good modelling skills here!

Propeller plades are awful indeed. Download WNW's Albatros D.V instruction sheet from their website, there you can find different propeller shapes in case you want an specific version.

Hello Yorki:

It looks like you are making good progress.  I wouldn't have the patience or the eyesight at this stage to do what you are doing.  I like to whip out an old Aurora kit and just build it for the fun of it.  SOOB, paint, decal and rig.  Yours will be fun to watch as you post more.

Happy new year to everyone.

Well I managed to finish all the internals over the break along with my scratch built engine.  You will have to excuse the large piece of blu-tack it is holding the control cables out of the way ready for the fuse to be closed up.

Is there a guide anywhere on how to make a prop from wood? I was thinking of buying some marketry pieces and laminating alternative dark/light colours.
