I've been waiting to see more of this build.  That last picture brings to mind some sort of sea creature with the mouth wide open.

Progress continues at a good pace . Side wall structure is added and bits of plumbing . Main leg is not glued in place yet . It's only there to keep other items lined up while the glue sets over night . Still have the other side to finished up and add details to the main legs . But for now this is where I'm at .

Your enhancements to the kit details is making a Huge Difference Terri! When you are finished No One will guess it is the OLD Monogram kit!

Thanks for checking in guys .

I was going to cut out the wheel wells and just use the landing gear struts , but I didn't want this to drag on for months and end up back on the shelf . So I went with what the kit offering is and a bit of gizmology while at least keeping it close to the actual aircraft .

Thats looking really good Terri. I love those old Monogram kits. I made the Hasegawa Typhoon and had more fun from the Monogram kit!

Thanks Dave , ja I do like the older kits for some types . I have build the Hawagawa one as well and still have two more in the stash and this has be a more enjoyable build .

That looks like a really interesting diversion from "serious" modelling (ie WW1 subjects) Terri - your additions are turning a basic kit into a first class model. Amazing details added.

Made a bit more progress over the weekend and now have the detailing done . Wheel bays are finished , landing gear legs and the rockets with their launchers . Other bits are ready for paint and same for the prop. Still have some small areas which need body work and then it's of to primer and paint !
