Looks like a putty monster coming!
That's okay, just hide it under some nice paint.

The fit of the Vac wings certainly looks challenging to say the least! Perhaps you can use pieces of sheet styrene to give the putty something to make it more solid. I really don't know....even Roden kits aren't this challenging  ::)

Ken , Rick ; yup she will be eating up a fare bit putty . The plan is to fill with as much plastic scraps first and finish off with putty . There isn't a hell of a lot of plastic there and with the sanding involved more plastic will get removed . I have a plan now which involves removing the detail on the chin and replaced that detail later as well as the two vent scoops which are in the wrong position away . Fill what I can with card and ear plugs for my cat . He will be hearing some very colourful language while the sanding is going on  :o

Dr. Terri, I see some real plastic surgery coming.  I am sure the patient will be happy with your results.  Staying tuned.   ;D

Spent the past few days filling , sanding , filling with more plastic card back to sanding and I'm finally at the point now I can whip out the putty and start that stage .
Also got the fire wall with the vents back off  :)

Your SSW is already looking better Terri. After the putty and sanding no one will know how poor the fit was  8)

Thank you Drew and Rick  8)

Rick that is my goal and after today I'm one step closer to primer . Today I spent time working on sanding down the filler and getting the areas smoothed out . Tail planes and rudder and tail skid are fixed in place and puttied in as well . Now she is starting to look like an airplane . I also notice my mistake on the hand holds , still wrong but I will leave as is . Now I need to start replacing detail and re-scrip a few panel lines .
