Adrienne Delatorre has passed away
« on: June 10, 2019, 01:19:34 PM »
It is with great sadness that we wish to advise Forum members that Adrienne Delatorre, widow of late forum founder Des Delatorre, has passed away.

Adrienne was a staunch supporter of the Forum and following the death of Des in February last year she took a leading role in protecting the forum and Des' website and ensuring they would continue. Our Forum's strength today is directly due to Adrienne's insisting that Des' wish for a WW1 modelling family would continue.

Adrienne regularly checked in to the forum and was greatly heartened by the spirit of friendship and co-operation here. She often remarked that Des would be so proud to see what his forum has become.

Adrienne's contribution to the Forum ensured its ongoing vitality for which we are all grateful.

Heartbreaking news, Dave. My deepest condolences to her family.  She's with Des again.

That's indeed very sad.

We all owe her a debt of gratitude for not only helping the website & forum to continue but also for being so supportive of Des & his passion for the hobby & early aviation in general.

Regards
Russell

This is very sad news. From afar I greatly admired her willing support of Des' passion for this site and her full commitment to the continuation of it. We should all be very thankful for this. Rest in peace. Dave, thank you for assisting Adrienne in keeping the site going.
