1/48 A.E.G. G.II 1915/16 -1st dream of scratching

I had to shift this blogs theme today back to 1915/16 towards the G.II Type due to my decision to buy a pair of Mercedes D.III engines and RedBaron thankfully told me. 

Due to honesty I only changed the title and keep my rest of the error in here. So the swinging is only in the title to make the finding easyer. And showing the real development of the project to allyou of you. =Edit off=


As it doesn't make sence to me to buy the i.m.h.o. overpriced HighTec kit by nearly $150 (half of the WNW kit with all the extra) I started to think about a scratch project of the beautyful A.E.G. G.IV. . Due to this I ordered a pair of Mercedes D.III/IIIa engines casted by Vector Resin.
So I'm looking for more detailed planes for this plane and for some help from all the other scratch builders. I'm dreaming of some compound kind of building of

- cyan-glue strengthed balsa wood
- Evergreen plastic
- wire
- Lozenge-decals
- odds & ends of older misfortunated kits

On monday I'm going to print the planes and resize them to 1/48 and mirrowing a lot at the copyshop.

Did I forgot anything?

Thanks, Red Baron! So it would be at least an A.E.G. G.II...

Go back to start - and edit your title! Fund older literature and write to the Allgemeine Elektrizitäts Gesellschaft for some drawings. But the good thing is, that development of the AEG G.I  and G.II was powered by 150PS/112kW Mercedes Benz D.III engines. The A.E.G. G.II was an up arnmed version with a 200kg bombload. Armed now with three machine-guns. A number of these aircraft had an extra vertical tail surface on each side of the fin and rudder. But only some few were used operationally.

So I make my enlistment of friend & foe arguments to start or to stop:

What do I loose?
- a plenty of pictures
- my beloved Lozenge camo wasn't in use at 1915/16
- the reseachfree, reachable and cheap plans of the G.IV

And what do I win by Red Barons interceprion?

+ an outstanding rare prototype
+ deeper and more criminalistic researchwork
+ buying new literature
+ D.III-engines were uncovered
+ an intersting tripple side-rudder

So now an adventure is calling me not grapping some plans and starting a build... it comes closer to shipmodelbuilding now. Engines standing uncovered in a tiny tubeconstruction is something I never though about this kind of build would hit me.

Now I am starting to reorganize my abilitys.

By this I found the  triplane bomber L.V.G. G.III also known after the designer as "Schütte-Lanz G.V" a pair of Maybach Mb. IV made 240hp/180kW each - only one was build... ...and lead us not into temptation

Edfit: And here the todays result the three side view (without the mirrowed drawings) and the three vertical rudder topviews. A glas of Scotch and the planing may take start.

Here our first problem aroses from out the azur main...

I have got one and a half topviews - the diagonal half bottom half top view  of the three side drawing and the three rudder plan. The tree sides view gives us a pair of big hatches - the ingle topview gives some cirular round hatches. So what is worng here? Is it an early and late version?My reference picture of an A.E,G, K.I (later G.I)  shows a single side rudder at the tail. And the 26/15 is a G.II with round hatches and a three rudder tail. Please correct me if I do use the worng tremica technica.
