Roden 1/32 Fokker DR1
« on: February 23, 2019, 09:34:31 PM »
After a very long enforced  period away from the bench due to life's interesting twists and turns, I have managed to get myself organised to attempt this build in honour of Des. I hope that I can produce a worthy build and on time, as my build pace is glacial to say the least ( 4 builds in 5 years  :o ).

As of this time I am gathering the reference material and after market accessories required and am still to determine which aircraft to depict.

Photos to follow if I can find a reliable and suitable photo host, any ideas folks as I find photobucket so frustratingly slow with all the ads.

I would also at this time like to thank Des for his inspiration and encouragement throughout.

 Gilly,
I switched to Imgur during the photo Bucket debacle as well and highly recommend it. It's reliable, fast, and very easy to use.

Thank you for the encouraging comments RagIII and the heads up regarding hosting sites , all very much appreciated folks. I will investigate the alternatives to Photobucket as although I have managed to get into it after some messing it still has the speed of a striking slug  :'(, however for today here is the kit from the stash and a few goodies which postie brought today. Albatros Publications for reference, Eduard PE and stunning Decals from Rich at Aviattic  ;D

And a couple more references from the office bookshelf  :D

Now just to decide upon the subject  ::)

Thanks Bud, that is much appreciated.

Baumer's 204/17 will be a build of many firsts for me  ??? , my first 1/32 , my first triplane,  :o , my first Roden build, my first use of extensive decals in such a scale and my first use of Montex paint masks, what could possibly go wrong  ::) ::) ::)
